I wanted to open up a thread in this forum section to discuss what few of us may do and what many of us may do.

First order of business, weather it be soft synth or hard synth how many of us out there take the time to start from init patch and build one up from there using the synth parameters? Ever made a track without ever using a sample or a pre-patch setting?

Second order of discussion, im guilty of it myself many times, sampling like a lil bitch. I usually catch myself doing it for drums or organic melodic intrstraments I know I cannot replicate, but some slap a track together with nothing but samples and are considered gods gift to modern music production (no offense to Madlib and those whom do). However, does anyone feel that sampling bites into that creative edge of the whole sound creation experience?

Third order of business, vocoder solo's, lol....im just playing but, I just wanted to comment that if I could say everything threw my vocoder or talkbox I would.
